Ontario County Youth Court is a peer-based juvenile justice program designed to promote education about the judicial process, support accountability for actions, and reinforce responsibility to society through community service and educational dispositions.
The goal of the Ontario County Youth Court is to intervene in early anti-social or delinquent activities, reduce the incidence, and teach new behaviors and coping skills.
Our main office is at the headquarters of the Partnership for Ontario County in Canandaigua, NY. Our court hearings are held weekly in one of four court sites located throughout Ontario County. Our members are asked to attend at least two court sites per month. Our court sites include:
- Bristol Town Court
- Canandaigua Town Court
- Geneva Town Court
- Gorham Town Court (pending)
- Victor Town Court
Hearings are also occasionally held at the Ontario County Safety Training Facility. For confidentiality purposes, our court calendar is not disclosed to the public. Please contact us if you would like to observe a Youth Court hearing.
